Common questions
The six things families ask us most before they pick up the phone. More at our full FAQ.
What is an estate cleanout?
An estate cleanout is the full clearing of a property's contents — furniture, belongings, and accumulated household goods — usually after a death in the family, a move to assisted living, or a sale deadline. It typically combines sorting, donation coordination, hauling, and a final clean so the house can be listed or handed over.
Does Heritage Property Transitions do the cleanout itself?
No. We are an independent referral and matching platform, not a cleanout or hauling company. The work is performed by independent local providers we match you with, who quote and bill you directly.
What does it cost a family to get matched?
Nothing. Providers pay us for the introduction, families never do. There is no markup added to your quote — the matched provider prices the job and bills you directly for their work.
How fast will someone contact me?
Tell us about the property on the contact form and a matched provider usually reaches out within two hours to discuss scope and scheduling. Many providers can begin work within a few days, and some offer expedited service for a sale or lease deadline.
Which areas do you cover in Missouri and Illinois?
Both sides of the river. That means the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County in Missouri, and the Metro East side of Illinois — Belleville, Edwardsville, O'Fallon, and the rest of St. Clair and Madison counties.
How are the providers vetted?
Every provider is confirmed to carry insurance and to have passed a background check before being added to the matching pool. Providers operate independently; they are not Heritage Property Transitions employees.
Tell us about the property. We'll take it from there.
One short form. A vetted local provider gets back to you directly — usually the same day.
